Just checking in,after 50 years. was on Koje when our general was captured, saw it happen,took part in the days before, during, and after. The Koje POW story needs defineing. The events of that time are blurred and need to be pulled togrther. I'd like to see a complete summary,and add to it,if needed. I'v recorded most of what I know but the haze is not cleared. A lot of people lost their lives in that war,a lot of them were not on our side.

My father, Albert Clifton Johnson, served in 45th Infantry Division in September 1952 and then later in the 7th Infantry Division. He was discharged in July 1954. Trained at Fort Jackson, SC. He is alive and well at the young age of 73. We would love to hear from his buddies Dewey A. Harrison from App, Alabama and Alonza Jones or any others that remember having spent time with him in Korea. God bless you all!

I am a former Marine (1st Recon, Vietnam 67-68) and current Air Force officer. While an Air Force officer, I served with Special Operations Command Central where I led a combined US/Kuwaiti unit during the war.

I am currently assigned to the Secretary of Defense, Defense, POW/Missing Persons Office. My main focus is on attempting to locate MIAs and KIAs-BNR from the Korean war, particularly the Chosin Reservoir battle. I happened upon your site while searching for info on "Korean War." Great site. I hope to be able to visit the museum this summer.

Landed in Korea in May 1952 with the 20th replacement draft. Was wounded the night of Oct. 2nd 1952 on the outpost The Hook. Was evacuated to the hospital ship Repose and back to Japan and then home to St. Albans Naval Hospital in New York. We must always remember our Valiant comrades that gave their lives for our Country.

Recon medic 70-71 G.P. Burr [ where the fence runs into the river had lots of problems , since then drugs, spent 8 flat yrs at McAlester {pen] and fined a $100,000! Now The VA tells me that [ i was self medicating , myself, cuz of the service . Can anyone help?

How do I find a list or roster of USAF Personal who served at K14 Kimpo 1952-1953.Looking for enlisted ground support at All pilots who were assigned and flew with the F86 336th FIS at K14.
