Am looking for anyone who knew Sgt. Harry Tiefs from Minnesota he was with the 31st Ordnance M.A.M. Co. 328th Ordnance Battalion 60th Ordnance Group 8th Army. Tonight I am so excited to be on this website for the first time! My father Theodore (Ted) A. Begler served in the 179th Regiment, 45th. Division from June 1951 through September 1952. I've just begun to go through all the paper, photos, etc. that he had stored in his trunk. I see that his unit is planning a reunion in Oklahoma in a few weeks. I will scramble to make contacts and try to attend.
I thank all of you veterans from the bottom of my heart for all the sacrifices you made for the rest of us. I know we have no idea what kinds of things you endured so many years ago. I look forward to spending lots of time on this website.
In regard to the museum - you will be happy to note that I sent for my membership last week. I hope to attend musuem festivities next summer.
I will be posting full information on the buddy sheet about my father and where I can be reached in the very near future.
Spread the word about the museum and this website! I'm thrilled that it's here.
